They are quiet a few side effects of metformin just like other tablet really. Many people dont suffer side effects from taking it its when you mix it with other drugs so its very important to contact your doctor to help you out or to change your course of tablets.

metformin is use with the treatment of diabetes 2 it used to be sold as Glucophage it is a oral drug it is the main drug for this kind of treatment such as people who are over weight and obese people with normal kidney functionality. It is used the most in the uk and then the us.It was tested for around ten years before it was brought out into countries.It was first introduce in the united kingdom in the early 1950s by a french man named Jean Sterne after successfull clinical trials but it metformin side effects do occur in some people when taking or mixing the drug. It was then released in Canada in 1972, and the United States in 1995. It is now the biggest and best drug to treat type 2 diabetes they were over 60 million prescriptions given out last year So it should be alot more by the end of 2011.
